During  March 2010, I spent three glorious weeks with two friends at this Kona Bay home.   We were thrilled to see the home was everything we had hoped for.   When we were inside we felt like we were outside  because this home has floor to ceiling retractable windows with large patios overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  The gourmet kitchen with full ocean views was there for our use but with so many restaurants (most overlooking that beautiful ocean) available within a 2-5 minute drive (or 20 minute walk) we opted to leave our domestication back on the Mainland.

The second floor is all bedrooms and bathrooms each providing great privacy.  Again, those retractable windows, ocean views and the sound of gently breaking waves with the moonlight on the water is as beautiful and peaceful as anything could be.  It was truly amazing to wake up one morning around 5:00AM to see a huge ocean liner parked in the backyard lighted up like a Christmas tree!  Oh and you will love the bathrooms! Particularly the master bedroom……I have never seen so many shower jets!!  You could have a real crowd in there as it is a huge walk in tile and marble wonder.

The third level “crows nest) is the place you want to be for whale watching.  The view is spectacular….many sunset cocktails have been sipped up there.  Of course, if you don’t like sunsets or whales you can always play pool.

About a 5 minute walk from the home is an area called the “pools”.  This is like a small bay with ocean pools where the children can have a great time.

The serenity and location of this home is unbeatable.  A small secure upscale neighborhood where you feel you have lived all your life.

We will return!!!

It was a wonderful privilege to be a guest in this beautiful oceanfront home with an unobstructed view of passing cruise ships, sail boats, spouting whales and glorious sunsets.  The floor to ceiling patio doors in the living room, master bedroom and second bedroom allows guests to enjoy the scent of tropical flowers, listen to the gentle waves lapping on the rocks, and the rustle of palm trees, or just basking in the sunshine.  Access to the village is a mere ten minutes away where shopping, dining and nightlife abound.  All this while feeling safe and secure in this gated community with patrol service along the sea walkway.

Its a "must do" experience.

In March 2010 we holidayed in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.  We rented a beautiful home on the ocean with a wide, wrap-around deck which allowed us to enjoy the spectacular sunsets in the evening and the whales playing during the day.

The immense walls of glass, which open onto the deck area, enable one to not only visually experience the beauty of the ocean, but to hear and to feel its power as well. This home is perfectly located near the village of Kona allowing easy access to shopping and restaurants.  It is large and well maintained with three lovely bathrooms and bedrooms making it possible for several people to stay there comfortably and happily. The kitchen, which is part of an open floor plan encompassing the living room, has full views of the ocean and it, and the laundry room have top quality appliances.

It is, without a doubt, a spectacular home and we had a wonderful experience staying there and enjoying the pleasures that Kona and Hawaii have to offer.
